Flying Saucer - A flying air machine, in the shape of a dinner plate. The “saucer” are the vehicles of choice for some aliens because of there aerodynamic design, which allows them to cut through ranges of atmospheric conditions, and even to navigation under water. These vessels are also said to have the capacity for interstellar travel and might be able to “bend time” in regard to travel.

When Kenneth Arnold reported his 1947 daylight sighting of a group of 9 shaped UFOs over the USA in the northwest, a reporter covering the story called the crafts "flying saucers." Because Kenneth Arnold said that the shape of the UFO's looked like disks or "saucers" dancing across the surface of the sky, the name stuck.

This us government has been recovering crashed and buried spaceships since the 1940s. These ships have also been the top choice for depiction in entertainment. UFOs are now synonymous with evil invading aliens. Whatever these mysterious air ships are, they have been reported and seen by man since the beginning of written history.
